You’re So Far Away These Days
by Paul McCann
I wrote a little note and placed it in a paper boat
and watched it float out to sea as I thought of you and me
cause you’re so far away these days .
I’m thinking of you today and I hope that you’re ok ,
hey I love you yes I do and I’m missing you too
cause you’re so far away these days .
So far way these days ,
like a little boat at sea ,
a new horizons in front of me
so far away ,
you’re so far away from me .
It makes me wonder why some people have to say goodbye ,
I’ll always try to keep you here ,
so don’t you ever disappear ,
for you’re so far away these days .
These days I’m doing fine , trying to chill most of the time ,
watching grass grow as it does
for I remember how it was
because you’re so far away these days .
Far away you may be are but you’re always close to me ,
in my heart and in my mind fond thoughts of you I find
are never far away these days .
Far away out of sight , every day and every night ,
far way but still in touch you know I love you so much
but you’re so far away these days .

Very much liked the rhythm of
Very much liked the rhythm of this. With my pedant's head on, just a couple of typos - 'a new horizons' and 'far away you may be are'. Very wistful.
