Motivation and Habit

After a hectic life
with tension and strife
serving the family and the society
a man retires generally at sixty
when his strength stamina and spirit ebb low,
fights he against the age from head to toe
with an agenda not to be a burden on the society
keeping himself physically and mentally healthy and fit
as long as he can with care and discipline
adopting routine walks and daily doses of medicine.
Walking at morn is the best way, I observed to learn
Hence up a mountain, a daily walk after retirement I did plan
The deep breathing, oxygen laden air, profuse sweating
cool breeze, serene atmosphere were factors motivating
Those take away my pain of walking turning it to sheer pleasure.
Daily morning I look forward the time to walk to the nature.
Since many years I daily walk up the hill
This has turned to my habit which I look with zeal.
Motivation infused in me the urge to this walk at the start
Now habit keeps it going that does not permit me to depart.
Motivation started this walk, habit keeps it going
The relationship between these sweetens me to sing.
