The Causes of Poverty

            Neither human nature nor the order of divinity tends toward a utopia in which all are equal, and wherein there is no class hungry for even temporary manual labor...  for this is how the opportunity to build and create is maintained.  

              However, there being a fair amount of anarchy in this world and its markets, it happens some times that through minor fault or simple accident, people fall from the honest working class to a situation of desperation and marginalization.

             It is a solid truth, though far from universally understood, that we are a semi-primitive world evolving toward true civilization- We are making quite acceptable progress but we have not reached the goal: and all of our institutions: be they for manufacturing, marketing, education, or the protection of morals and property: They are all highly imperfect.  

           As 'the innocence project' and others have scientifically proven, it is quite possible for entirely innocent individuals to be convicted of barbarous crimes...  and punished in ways that leave them too damaged to compete in the economy.

              Similarly, there are cases like mine: where an individual is identified as a political radical, and a situation is arranged wherein the person's work is used and distributed...  and yet they are not compensated.

             Also, there are people who are simply put on political black lists and prevented from working.  These things are done under the pretense of protecting the American way of life, but they are an abomination against the constitution our founding fathers so wisely drew up.  A brave and free spirit, caught in such a quagmire, will rebel against the oppressor and become broken...   too broken for useful work, and then the decision must be made to execute or to support.

                It is a shame indeed if the sole worthy purpose one sees in God's creation is the ability to stock-pile gold and enjoy material luxuries. There are whole other worlds of spirit, of art, and of ideas: intellectual, spiritual, and scientific...  that are key to civilization and its advancement.  

              As creation is plentiful, it is best to leave some room and bread for the non-materialistic...  too violent a discipline leads not to orderly production but eventually towards anarchy

Addendum: Truth is full of duality.  This essay portrays one aspect of the truth.  It's not intended toward overturning the capitalistic process or its results...  though it is intended toward their egalitarian refinement. God bless
