I thought this was good for
I thought this was good for grown ups. It read more like a surreal grown up story/poem about childhood than a kids story.
All the same I liked it a lot; the way the game morphed from fireman to musketeer to chess champ and the way you use surrealism to show us the world of a childs imagination.
It would probably go well with dreamy Raymond Briggs style illustrations.
