It is a real picture
slapping a stricture
at the present day human civilization
depicting the misery of life within its horizon
encompassing a majority of present human population
where a girl marrying at an age of thirteen or fourteen
becoming a grandma at thirty as is commonly seen.
Out of malnutrition she grows prematurely old
as the picture here perhaps has not so boldly told.
She carries her granddaughter on shoulder
when poverty and epidemic snatch her bread earner
thus she steps ahead in search of food and shelter
being deaf and dumb to her granddaughter’s tear.
Selfish, present civilized section of human population
(N.B This poem has four parts dwelling on the same picture separately posted
squanders their wealth and subject them to exploitation
