The Sun In Your Heart

Once there was you and I was happy .
Just for a while the sun shone for me but 
then  you were gone far away from me 
and I carried on .

The sun it was gone and the light within turned to darkness again .
I was dying inside for the want of a flame .
They say that crying tears eases the pain 
When the sun in your heart sets down on you .

What are the odds when the chances are slim ?
Where is the light when every things dim ?

Something tells me to keep on believing .
Love is the reason to begin to find a new meaning for the sun to come in’
and renew how I’m feeling .
Bring me hope and healing when the sun in my heart 
sets down on me  cause its getting so dark …
so dark I can’t see the face anymore 
that once used to be looking at me so affectionately
for now you are gone so far from me 
and all that I feel is cold and empty 
since the sun in my heart set down on me .

Well there’s never an end to all the suffering 
when the heart just becomes a burnt offering .

Tell me is it something that we all had to learn .

because I’ve waited so long and I’ve tried to be strong
