Grandma

Our grandmother
is a talented knitter
which is useful
as winters are bitter.

A skilled lady
of the old school,
and a fine artist
with  needles and wool

she is very warm
to the people she loves
and hands out gifts
of scarves and gloves.

Many grandchildren
who have been kitted
with woollen jumpers
that she has knitted

adore her to bits
and want her to know
that wearing her presents
they feel a warm glow.
