Clothes of the Spring

Springtime wears wonderful,
colourful clothes
with ladybird buttons
and butterfly bows.

 

Green leaves are the sleeves
of her grass covered dress
and the hat on her head
is a hummingbirds nest.

 

Her boots are the roots
of the plants and the trees;
they're patterned with petals
and buckled with bees.

 

Her gloves are the doves
with soft feathers of white
and she sits at the spinning wheel
sun shining bright.
