Knights of shame
By G.A.Grim

Must it be so bright
That it blinds
The armor,
that is wrapped around you
The pride that gilds it,
shines like a beacon
Oh how tall you sit,
on that majestic steed,
as eyes are upon you
Gracefully weathering the storm,
that is the hunger of their attention
Secure in the thought,
that none possess the arms to reach you
It would not become you sir,
to find yourself on equal footing
Dragged down amongst the rabble
Where they may express their true intent
Yes you feast
Yes they famine
But take solace good knight,
the fault lies not with you
So please wave and nod
To this wretched parade of souls
So that they may come to understand,
the distance between you
And all that they truly are,
is reflected as you pass
