Like a rag and bone man with a broken cart

I can’t call out to you ,

All my windmills have spun out  

Like a cat that cries on a cold dark night

until the moon turns blue

love is what we all can’t live without

Please stay my love , don’t go away ,

Like a paper kite on a windy day

 I’m holding on to you

a limpet of the time we share each day

Like a debt unpaid in my heavy heart

That’s been so long over due

But I know in time love will find a way

Like a secret word no one ever says    

That’s longing to be heard

listen to the echo of your heart

The melody of a song inside my ear    

brings a loving tender word  

For better or worse we will never part
