I Don't Only Dream, I Believe

I dream of peace,

in the place of war.

Where everybody will be

and all will live for.

No fear, no pain, no need to hate.

Hope everlasting and love never-ending.

I can only hope that it’s our fate,

that all can find the light to believe in.

I dream of love,

in the lowest place.

Where we soar like doves,

Always keeping pace.

For I will hold great respect for everyone,

whether their American, Latino, or Asian.

I will admire every individual as one,

for everyone, in the end, are kin.

I dream of a beautiful hope,

Igniting a fire within my soul.

Where we all are able to cope,

And never have a day dull.

Where we all have something

left, to have confidence in.

Where there will be nothing,

to not have hope and faith in.

These are my brightest dreams.

I know that they are cheesy,

down to the very seams.

But they’re not only dreams to me.

For I hope for peace and love,

to someday come undone.
