The Trees Reach

a whole lot taller than

pop sickle sticks

their branches tearing at

your jacket when

passing by.

They hope to be

a friend ‘cause it can be

a little lonely here

in the woods--

so many trees the same. 

Visit often they call out

and my answer is Yes.
