Fub 1

Fub was bored.

Fub scratched his head.

Fub sat on a cushion on a cloud and thought about himself.

Fub thought about himself a lot.

Fub imagined a thought bubble floating above his head, with Fub inside with a thought bubble floating above his head, with Fub inside with a thought bubble floating above his head... and so on.

Fub smiled... slightly.

Then Fub worried.

What if (Fub thought) he couldn’t stop himself thinking about an infinite regression of Fubs?

Fub worried about this sort of thing.

When Fub worried about this sort of thing, the only way he could stop himself from worrying was to think about something else.

...

No one understood Fub.

Fub didn’t understand Fub.

...

Fub succeeded in stopping himself worrying about an infinite regression of Fubs by thinking about clouds.

Then the clouds reminded Fub of thought bubbles, which reminded Fub of an infinite regression of Fubs.
