Flitting in ecstasy

a young hummingbird

quick as lightning

bolts from flower to feeder

 

a scent- carrying beauty

spites the lateness

of a colourful autumn day.

Winter’s too soon

on the edge of seasons.

 

Go South little bird.

Merci, Tom. We really enjoy  the birdies on our back apartment porch -- mostly chick-a-dees / sparrows / humming birds, juncos and moaning doves (my name for them). Of course the portly.pidgeons like to waddle over and snaggle some feed.

Hi Richard! I know many people in Canada speak French is it an official language? Are there not perhaps more mother language speakers than are English speaking?

Lots of people emigrated there most of them were not happy many came back. It seems the best place from South Africa is Australia few return to SA.
