I've known some people suffering with self mutilation. It is a terrible thing a young person has every thing going for him, intelligent, good looking, rich parents everything.

Now is cutting himself deep to blood and burns wounds and more injury and pain. I could never understand this you know. Apparantly it's quite common. The doctors etc can actually treat these patients quite successfully. Probably like any psychiatric problems you have to comply you must want to get well, otherwise it's useless.

Hope I don't completely misunderstand you post! Perhaps was not so serious?!

I don't self harm, altho I have self destructive tendencies and am too hard on myself.
Ive seen self harm and its a form of punishment and expressing pain. It's a difficult one, the psyche works in mysterious ways!
