You Faux?

You Faux?
I’ve seen things in the sky, did they see me too?
They came and struck me in the eye, did they teach me true?
Something happened yesterday or was it just inside.
I couldn’t make it go away, nor I did not make it hide.
I am I lying to my eyes, my mind turned inside out.
Are they astral fireflies, that tease and dart about?
Do they think? Do they ruefully conspire?
Do they just pointless blink, mere mindless sparks of fire.
Then silver rims cut the sky, my world neatly sliced into.
Sunlight pours them down, suddenly they’re true.
Ours eyes fill until they drown in things they cannot do;
See more than they were born to see, fantasy come true.
The truth now burns inside of me. What are we to do?
