Part 1

The sight of pine

trees in a little town

led his journey

to a Community Centre

worked there years

and a career unfolded.

 

Part 11

An older home

in the country means

many life stories

for resting grandpa.

He’s happy

watching birds twirl

and dip

at the food trough.

 

Part 111

Snow is sleepy times--

keeping dreams

of yesterday alive.

Good encouraging words, Tom. I had the pleasure of being Administrator of a Municipal Home for the Aged from 1980-86. Also being of the right age, 78 on Sept. 10, I wanted to express the feelings and thouughts of older folks, now that I am one and enjoying my later years. ps. just finished a new poem and it will be posted in a few minutes.
