Green Eyed Monster

They say everything is temporary,
But with money families should be wary!
He’s having money troubles, but aren’t we all?
When she gives him money, I feel so small,
I’m paying rent, he’s paying none,
Back to this residence he has come.
I get that he’s broke, but I am too!
I feel like a lion in the zoo
Fighting over the food,
I hope it doesn’t end in a family feud.
Out comes the credit card, there you go son
Am I invisible? Please give me one.
He needs new runners, but so do I,
She’s laid up so I have to try,
To balance the family accounts.
I need her to know that I count.
Yes he cooks but not 'til late,
I cook too, something I hate.
He puts grease all over the floor,
Oh goodie now I have more,
Work to do so she won’t slip,
And need to replace her brand new hip.
Bite my tongue I can do no more,
The green eyed monster has come to the fore.
When I said it I knew I was wrong,
But from work his money should come,
I’m the one who is here with her all day!
Here is where I have to stay!
The shopping, the bills, they all cost money,
I think you need to smell the rose’s honey,
And manage your money better,
If I was him I wouldn’t let her,
Buy me new runners and give back the card.
Man is all this grown up stuff hard!
Even though my eyes are brown they’re green today,
How much longer is he going to stay?
‘A month’ he says, smile upon his face,
I don’t do rows so I’m not on his case,
But I’m the one who helps her get dressed
Up to my eyeballs, man am I stressed.
I get her breakfast, lunch, and dinner,
Out of the two of us who is the winner?
I don’t mean to complain,
Just take back the credit card is all I am saying!
