Palm Sunday

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
Christ Jesus enters as the King of kings.
The crowd rejoices, Christ is seen to weep:
the justice and salvation that he brings
the city will reject, and judgement reap.
What soon will happen there he knows –
arrest, and crucifixion he’ll endure,
and though that pays the debt a sinner owes,
the city soon will know destruction sure.
Have you acknowledge him? ‘Hosanna! Lord!
Please save me, Saviour, in your power and grace!’
Rejoice! and welcome him, receive his Word
your rule and treasure, Source of life and peace.
Tune: 10 10 10 10 eg Gower Street Chapel by Alfred Light
The crowds who went ahead of him, and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna [save, praise] to the Son of David!” Matthew 21:9

Rejoice! and welcome him, receive his Word
your rule and treasure, Source of life and peace
Have a good week! Tom Brown
