We Sailed Away

Somewhere in a dream between the city and the sea,

I found a peaceful place that belonged to you and me

and we closed our eyes and sailed away towards the moon

 in the basket of a beautiful big blue balloon.

We drifted far far away across the milky way

on a voyage to find an escape to a new day

on a ship of illusion in our own wonderland

where we talked about things we could never understand.

We sailed away until we found the islands of dreams

where people were talking but no one knew what it means

in an innocent way there was someone just like you

 and we just sailed away until the daydream was through .
