Blues For David.

When I lost my son to cancer at eighteen years I wrote these blues. I played guitar, and my cousins son played the mouth organ and sang, we threw in a few claps too. We did it sending files back and forth on the internet, then my cousins son mixed it at his studio in London. I can no longer play because of arthritis so its fitting this was the last thing I recorded or played with love and intent.
Blues for David
Woke up this morning
I was feeling blue
Looked to my left
Couldn’t see you
Looked to my right
Thats when I knew
Oh my best buddy
Buddy where are you.
I have a million dollars,
And ten tons of gold
That I kept in a locker.
For when us two get old.
But its worth nothing now
Because we’re torn apart
And I know I can’t spend
I can’t spend my fractured heart.

So very sorry to hear about
So very sorry to hear about your son - what a beautiful picture on the YouTube link. I hope that using your creativity has helped in some way. It's lovely to get support from family in doing it as well. Thank you for sharing this.
