10 fish fingers hot on the grill.
Susie went to bed feeling rather ill,
Tommy wanted 3 his empty tum to fill,
Bertie asked for 2 – and a ½ –
‘Thanks, that’s brill!’
then 1 for Mary, and 1 for Will
1 and a ½ for Mum – and that left still
1 fish finger to cut up into 4
– Tommy, Bertie, Mary and Will would ask for more,
so then there were just crumbs lying on the grill
of the 10 fish fingers now there were - nil 0!
Who had 2¾? How many did he oughter
have, if they all had the same?

Complicated!
Complicated! My head is too flat, computing power pen and pencil stuff. Reverse engineering. Is a point round or square?
Keep well Rhiannon! Tom

enjoyed them??? EEEK! I
enjoyed them??? EEEK! I remember they always had names like Alex or Hilary that could be either he or she, which made it even worse, so when they asked "how many boys did whatever activity, how many girls...?" I would spend the whole test thinking about the Alexes and Hilaries I knew about and if more were male or female
Aside from that, this was a wonderful little question :0) Everyone had sensible names, and it was so easy to understand I even got the answer :0)

cowboys
Very clever never thought of it this way, you could make up a really nasty little question like in a western town, who cuts the barber's hair? So many cowboys and that.
Good!

The more fun you make it, the easier it is for children to learn and remember. This kind of material is ideal for educational purposes. Nicely done, Rhiannon. Paul :)
