Unbearable Peace

The afternoon lone dissonant piano lesson the cadets band practice marching music endless over and over pleasant and comforting.
A door swings and curtains flap in a cypress avenue dream far past emptiness, clothes on a washing line the door opens and blows closed again no bird song just the wind a loose distant banging window a sunny windy lonely day. A dream of the past a child a vision of the future a man.
In the willow's shade branches groan gently swinging back and forth waving slow dancing bowing softly moans, blue sky sunny songs swinging willow easy to and fro. The empty epitaph of evening cries from far-off the sounds of future calling. A haunted lonely empty ghostly peace.
A dweller on the threshold invisible, tried the door once, twice and by itself the lock opens. Clack. An open door far distant down the corridor echoes light at the end. To never-ending silence no sound no movement no stir strolling afternoon in the gardens bearing great burden and terrible sorrow.
At dusk a far-off glimmer of hope for many souls in oppression and captivity, calls a single bird near, softly sweetly from a branch above. In great joy released multitudes many countless cheers shouts of freedom jubilation. In trusting peace in quiet hope resting sleeping calm in the palace of the Lord, on a pallet on the floor, in heaven.
For ever alone no sound silence fills up the senses no sounds just quiet no movement nothing stirring. A child in wonder in shade of majestic trees, stones and pebbles crisp lush grass and fluttering leaves blue sky of hope touching the green lawn and love filled mind with serenity and quiet. Well kept graves' green grass, floating clouds breezes cool the sweetest wild flowers and many pale lilies pure alone unknown unseen beauty wilt and perfume past and is ever lost.
A spirit in quiet stillness, the other side of life, to be and not be. To be but not exist to be but not to touch. Tears and joy life of ever peace and, loneliness.

Read this a while ago, and meant to come back to comment. So much symbolism of peace, struggle, hope, confidence, patience, trust and waiting somehow. Amazing dream! Rhiannon
