Slowing Down

I’m working past retirement age 

and they told that I’m too slow 

been working there over four years now everyday I go .

Twice a day when I was young 

I’d run for 8 miles every day ,

but things are much different now these day  as  I’m too slow they say .

Those parasites behind their desk 

have their heads buried in the sand 

they can’t see how hard I work  

so they don’t understand .

I try to be friendly and positive ,

to all those I meet ,

times are hard  but I’ve got my good health

that keeps me on my feet .
