Shores ever changing, new, fresh

Fresh shore breezes
where the tang of salt and seaweed
can sting and tingle, chaff the skin,
bring sparkling to the eyes –
blow wild;
or gently stroke, touch mild:
soft or stiff on beach or cliff.
Sea mists flow in,
lose far cliffs,
alone in the world.
Rumbling sounds of oceans’ surge and flow,
battering rocks,
tumult of stormy waves roaring,
or vast views of calm blue sea,
large sky, distant horizon
stillness, peace;
birds soaring, swooping, calling
and slurp and slap of surf on sand
echoing up from small coves,
with the daily rising and falling
of the tides;
spring flowers flourish,
variations at different locations
of which dominant
(different micro-climates, slight differences in soil?)
swathes of thrift and squill
or bluebells mixed with campion
or masses of starry ‘scented’ ramsons,
banks of violets, white bladder sea campion …
every visit seems quite new,
heart, mind,
senses refreshed.
[IP: new shores] We are at present at Cwm-yr-eglwys (https://www.abctales.com/story/rhiannonw/coastal-path-4-pen-dinasdinas-head ) for a few days, and the weather is quite different to when we were further south in the early autumn when it was stormy, windy but many sunny days.

Hi Rhiannon,
Hi Rhiannon,
you really took me to the coast with your words. I love the vast array of wild flowers you mention too.
I hope you are having a relaxing time. It certainly sounds wonderful and those photos are amazing.
Jenny.

Fresh shore breezes “
This is really a good poem Rhiannon a really really good poem! “ .. with the daily rising and falling of the tides; spring flowers flourish, ”
You outdid yourself this time you must have been there where you wrote it, by the sea, on the rocks or the sand. Inspiration really works, experience as well.
“.. every visit seems quite new, heart, mind, senses refreshed. “ When you are alone and at peace it is just as beautiful.
See you! Nolan &&
