GULP!

I worked at a different site this week. And because I worked at a different site, when I finished work I always go to this different supermarket, that I don’t usually go to.

Today, when I came out with my reduced goodies, I saw something, that stopped me dead in my tracks!

Suddenly the excitement I had, drained away, and real fear, replaced it.

We locked eyes! I didn’t know what he was thinking, he didn’t know what I was thinking!

I was genuinely fearful, I couldn’t see help near, me and I felt very alone!

I quickly and without sudden movement, assessed the situation.

I wondered what I would do, I didn’t see this coming, I didn’t know, if I would be helped, or left. I felt very uncomfortable.

As I came out of the store, and walked a step or two, there was a small car, the drivers side window was open all the way down, and in the passenger seat, looking straight at me was a brown pit bull dog!

He wasn’t secured inside the car, his owner clearly trusted his powerful friend. I on the other hand was petrified. It is a dog at the end of the day!

We looked at each other maybe for about ten seconds, but it felt much longer.

No one would dare to break into that car, but the owner might be able to trust his little friend, but what would have happened if it was a drunk person or a gang of teenagers, who wanted to have some fun?

I predicted, there would be no winners, for the passenger would have been put down, the driver prosecuted and the victims hospitalize!

Who knows what is round the corner, I didn’t, when I saw this unusual passenger, I don’t know what I would have done, if he jumped out of the car and attacked me!

Thankfully I was able to walk past his car, and go to mine without incident.
