Deep Depression
I am treading through a swamp
of coagulated mire
Each step diminishing
My once rampant desire.
Each fought freedom
A momentary respite
Till nevitable next step
Puts up a re-fight.
How I long to run free
Devoid of heavy boot
Just as I once was
Light and fleet of foot.
I am treading through a sewer
One of my own making
I am getting skewered
And this time it is ball breaking.
Its getting harder and harder
This trudge of existence
Its getting harder and harder
This pointless insistence.
I am treading through a swamp
of coagulated mire
Each step diminishing
My once rampant desire.
