tapestry of dreams,
woven with silken threads of 
scarlet, azure, gold. 
 
Fragile wings unfurl
revealing wishes balanced
on hopes lusty hold.
 
Heading up high
towards the setting sun
Soaring joyfully
 
What beating heart dims
ideas bright fantasy 
of what would be?
 
Colours fail, threads loose,
Fade in suns oppressive rays.
Youthful vigour falls.
 
Lost and damaged aims
Frost bites, devours velvet strands
Potent Winter hails.
