You can't have your cake and eat it

What's it to be? 
birthday cake?
Freshly iced, sugared flowers, 
candles lit for surprise 
to light the eyes on a happy face?
decide on the sponge...
Prefer something fuller? richer?
White chocolate, topped with edible glitter?
makes you stop and wonder
what plain vanilla has to offer?
Why change to Victoria sponge 
when you already have luxury
that will last you all life long.
One things for sure though,
a choice there to make 
You can't have it, eat it all,
hold out your hands
and still have cake.
