Mummy buzzard

Once upon time was a buzzard
queen of the sky
as she chased other birds off
as well as moles
worms
rabbits
even baby kittens too
no other buzzard would dare come close
as she flies high with wings spread high
a gun shot rings out through out the air
the animals look as queen buzzard
drops out the sky
kittens and mice clap
while the crows fly in to eat the seeds
as the shooter picks up
and takes away the buzzard
places it in a cage
in his van and drives off
the sky now filled with crows
the ground filled with kittens
rabbits
mice and moles
as the shooter stops at the vets
he takes in queen buzzard
tells the vet
he shot his own buzzard by accident
the vet says we will have a look
Hours of waiting go by
When the doors open and comes through the vet
with queen buzzard
asleep and bandage round her tummy
vet tells shooter
she will be fine
just look after her she be fine
shooter thanks vet with a hug
puts queen buzzard in the back to rest
he drives back to the field
where he places queen buzzard on her post
as she looks around
all the animals look and stare
most of them scared
as the crows take off
circle round to land again
the buzzard looks from the post
she sees the crows
have gone in formation to spell ' sorry '
little kittens sit up in a line and clap
the moles move the ground to make a smiley face
the rabbits and mice
go up to queen buzzard and say
she can eat any of them
as they deserve it
for they clapped when queen buzzard was shot
though really all the animals do care
as this place would not be the same
without queen buzzard
so as the bunnies and kittens
change queen buzzards dressing
she gurgles as if to clear her throat
all the animals look at her
as slowly she looks up
opens her mouth and says ' thank you '
