A Shanty Dream

The highest tide there’s ever been,
The fiercest storm for years,
I bobbed along a shanty dream,
Bold as old Blackbeard.
And when I reached the sandy shores,
I stood there night and day,
Until the coastguard shouted out,
That I was in the way.
