X-TREMELY CRUEL

At your worst, you are really cruel.
You can be such a nasty thing,
But don’t have the mind to realise,
The devastation you can bring.

You have caused pain so many times.
How much more damage must you do?
How much more anguish must you cause?
Thank goodness some get over you.

Your darkness tells those you hurt most,
They’ll never be how they once were.
It seems odd how you start with ‘can,’
When many can’t beat you, cancer.
