REPUNZAL

Hi, my name's Rachel. A few weeks ago, my parents died in a car crash, and now I live with my aunt, Aunt Hazel. She is the nastiest, most meanest person I have ever met. as soon as I moved in with her she gave me a daily routine.
At nine, she pushes a bowl of cereal through the cat flap fitted into my bedroom door. At twelve, she pushes through a bowl of soup. At five, she pushes through a plate of salad. She keeps me in my room morning, noon and night. The only time I'm allowed out is when I need to go to school. Other times she lets me out if she wants me to do household chores like dusting or scrubbing the toilet. One time she sent me to the corner shop to get her daily chocolate for her, but forbid me to buy any for myself. She really is the most tiresome witch I've ever met.
When my parents I'd hoped I could live in a children's Home or with other relatives, but it was not to be. Aunt Hazel was the only living relative I had and she agreed to look after me. She was all sweetness to the Social Worker but when she got home she turned into the witch from that "Repunzal" story. Don't ask me why, I've never done anything to her.
It's been like this for six months now. The only joy I get out of life is looking out the window; but it's a good thing I do, because one day, it changed my life.
I was looking out the window. It was a nice, sunny day. I wished I could go and sit outside, but I kew She wouldn't let me. Then I saw him! The most sexy boy at school, Alex, riding by on his bike. He looked up, and saw me beaking at him. He gestured for me to open the window. I did.
"Hiya, sexy!" He called out. "What ya doin'?"
"Oh, nothing much," I called back. "I want to go outside but I'm not allowed!"
"Why?"
"My aunt's a hag!" I laughed.
"Have you got any bedsheets?"
"What?"
"If you use bedsheets, you could escape out the window!"
I tied my bedsheets together and hung them out the window. Alex got off his bike, and held onto them, while I climbed down them.
I was halfway down, when I heard Aunt Hazel's voice.
"Rachel! Come here! I want you to take care of a spider!"
I heard her come into my room, and shout out "Curses!"
I shimmied the rest of the way down, and pulled down the bedsheets before she could climb down after me.
I stopped for a rest. Then I clamboured onto the back of Alex's bike, and we sped away towards the park.
