Fake names and hidden faces
Cold glances and empty spaces
Suitcases, handcuffs and a hospital gown
Just now, my world – a ghost town
Alone in the dark my heartbeat their measure
The surgeons’ hands fumble for treasure
My mind unbalanced - anticipating the worst
Men in white coats unshackle my curse

Quite chilling, this one

Quite chilling, this one Amore. Effectively written, and I especially like the 'half-rhyme' of 'worst' and 'curse' in the second stanza.
Tina;-)
