to ricochet off waterfalls of light
cascading at the edge and end
of night, and glance off magma seas
of suns at ember; to be glimpsed
near glassy shores by eyes on stalks,
and by pterosaurs perched on pyramids of ice,
and,
to see them too; and feel the sirens’ dark pull

and know things slow to echo

for me there is a star that draws me,
night-gliding, in,
then returns me from my dream-specked flight,
