She married him,
dear reader,
down the line.
The red dress, park
bench, his call,
all were mine.
"He never,ever knew",
she laughed,
"that first
night I was you."
I wonder,some,
over what
was never ever
missed. I saw her
life,girls come
and go,he never,ever
knew who it was
he kissed.
(What went before;)
Meet me at the park bench” he said
“and while you’re at it,wear the red
dress I spotted you in, it’s a treat.”
Then hung up. Dead. That was it.
I’d had enough of men like that,
I sent my friend instead.
