“Haven’t you realized
That all your back pain
Is caused by the simple flicking
Of your computer mouse?”
She whispered these words
In a challenging, raspy tone
As she straddled over me
In a dimly lit conference room.
Ten feet from my coworkers,
Her fingers digging into my flesh,
As the smell of peppermint
And eucalyptus
Flooded the room and my senses.
Her breath was strained as she labored,
Fingers exploring patches,
Softening and tenderizing as she worked.
She laced her fingers in my hair,
Extending digits in wide circles.
I lay beneath her,
Softly moaning,
Questioning bliss…
Questioning the beauty of afterlife…
Wondering if this is the reality of the dreamer…
Dancing around the idea of euphoria…
Serenity has been found in the span
Between her battered fingers.
Jubilation found on her fingertips…
