After years of sitting out in the summer rain, our bamboo bench finally began to creak and fall apart. I took a sledgehammer to it and dislocated all its joints. The last piece revealed a swarm of ants which made me wonder if there's anything the little buggers won't eat. Then I remembered how didgeridoos are hollowed out by termites.
