It must be great to be able to fly a helicopter legally, but the
buzz of stealing them is something that has never truly
worn off? I took my first helicopter after seeing the crash that Mike
and Sarah Smith had? I thought if that old sod can fly
one, crash and not get killed, then dammit?SO CAN I! I started on
single seater gyrocopters , which looked a lot easier to
handle than the larger variety and in many ways, I still prefer them,
but once you have stolen and flown a chinook, there's
no looking back. Or at the very least no looking down! I've used lots
of devious ploys to gain access to helicopters, one of
my favourites being the "insecticide" gag? There's always crop spraying
that needs to be done in the kent countryside and
using stealth and guile, I clamber aboard the waiting 'copter and I'm
away! Never fails that one and once I'm in the air, I
jettison the lethal cargo and make for the clouds! I've not had any
formal training in flying these machines, and I'd almost
believe I was born to do so? Stunts are a speciality of mine and I am a
keen follower of the aerial display work shown by
the "barratt's homes" man. A real pilot's pilot and with such easily
affordable starter homes, everybody is happy! I have no
intention of ever stopping my little obsession with stealing
helicopters and if I were to try for a pilot's licence, I think
the purity would go out of my endeavours? I shall remain aloft as long
as I can in the windiest vehicles in the sky!
