But you cast me away
From them play ground hounds
That once mocked you, on school days
Snowflakes confetti away
Like a forgot-ton wedding
Melting in the hands of yesterday.
I pulled you through those dark times
And no ones harm would touch you,
You were sorrowed weak
Soft and warm fresh clean
As a new dawn.
But I have fallen and savage time eats at me
My strong arms can only hold my memories
And they are you.
As I look out of this fading window
In hopes to view the new dawn
And see your sweet smile
Bath me for a while.
But no it's just a distant weep of a willow
And a burden on this pillow
Drowning in my own sorrow
My bitter rain, pours me blind
I curse the clock of savage time.
