So I was just lying on my bed, pen in my hand, wondering,
when did this technological world of ours, really take hold,
Uproot us, so that if we looked in a mirror, a blank reflection would blink back,
Full of broken wires, and radioactive currents flowing from our limp bodies,
With these pounding electronic hearts.
We must have reached some kind of malfunction.
Have we really sunk this low, Chivalry fully deserts us,
In favour of a fully functioning robot, sitting on your lap,
While that girl you like, walks by your house,
Empty handed, sleeping alone again tonight.
