The Song

There is no right, no wrong,
No tune at all to this great song;
There is only now
And how you choose to sing it.
There are no bars, no notes, no rules
You must just play it like all other fools;
Banging a drum or blowing your horn
To tell the world that you were born
And that you lived, laughed and died
And tried to make sweet music sound,
From one soul to the world around.
So bellow out into a silent night,
Shout at the stars with sonic might,
Croon to the sun on rainy days
And dazzle the moon with serenades.
The winds will harmonise with you then,
The seasons rise to your regimen
And seas will fall against their shores
With the rhythm that your heartbeat scores.

Fantastic! This has a lovely rhythm, rhyme and really heart-warming content. The content makes me want to read on because it's telling me something about what it is to be alive and connected. I think you've captured something meaningful and moving that has the potential to resonate with us all. Really enjoyed the song theme that ran through as well. A thoroughly good read. Congratulations on the cherries! Adam
