Fireblood, the first and the last of the magnificent species cast by the giant Fendor with the liquid fire that now runs in his veins from the heart of volcanoes.
Many spices and countries have been by the great ice beasts, created from the frozen souls of animals trapped by the evil ice demon Zandorike, who was so powerful that even the gates of hell could not sustain him. Now he seeks revenge for the centuries of damnation he has suffered by creating an army powerful enough to take on hell itself. But first he plans to test his strength by taking over this primitive world he has escaped to. At this point in history, with more than half the world already his, his next objective is the land of giants. Hence the purpose of Fireblood, to destroy the frozen veins of the ice beasts and their dark master before they are destroyed first.
The war between the powerful giants and their even more powerful enemy ragged on for years before Fendor and the back of Fireblood along with others in his dying race on their own gigantic winged fiery steeds.
Now the giants had long ago become extinct at this point in time, but their scaly steeds fought on for another two-hundred years before all the ice beasts were destroyed and the last great battle had begun; the war against Zandorike himself. The land of giants was now known as the land of the fendors.
Zandorike may be a demon of ice, but even the fires of the underworld could not weaken him. But he is far less powerful in this world then the last and also lacks the crucial element of surprise. Unlike the guards of the underworld, the fendors know exactly how powerful he really is.
One thing you have to understand is that fendors are not dragons. Fendors are the creatures dragons were before they were dragons. Fendors are dragons before they developed a true fiery breath instead of a primitive blast of molten larva. These are dragons before they developed an unquestionable lust for treasure or even before they had razor sharp metallic scales which developed from the rocky plates that cover a fendors entire body.
With Fireblood leading the attack, the battle between the fendors and Zandorike himself ragged on for many years, with the ice demon winning. Eventually, Zandorike became so confident that he tried to take over and freeze the heart of Fireblood himself, as he has done with millions of animals before. This proved to be the ice lords undoing, because even Zandorike could not control Fireblood's heart of pure, molten flame. The body of Zandorike melted and died.
