By beautiful oblivion
- 1049 reads
If say’st My Lord, that thou lov’st me, mine heart have no longer need to reside in mine chest.
If say’st My Lord, that thou need’st me, mine life have no longer need to belong to me.
Thy virtue speaks through to mine soul, and thou art the most affectionate of all.
Thou art beautiful in stature as in grace; thy face has been the leader of my dreams all the night.
I entreat thee Oh Lord, to call me fair; that in thine eyes, I have found grace.
If thou desire’st to be with me, mine answer could’st not deny mine own feelings.
Beside myself in modesty, I must say, I love thee, and hope thou lov’st me.
Give me thine own heart, and I will be with thee forever.
Deny mine own passion, and I shall wither away like snow on a spring day.
Instead, tell me of thy affection, and show me thy love, for mine is full for thee.
I have nothing unto myself to give thee, but my love, if thou hav’st it.
In return I ask nothing of thee but thine own love.
Allow me to love thee, and I will love thee stronger than the wind hast blown in a storm.
If say’st My Lord, that thou lov’st me, I will serve thee with all the love in the world.
