A medal, a medal!

An edible medal

of chocolate

came in the post today,



and all that I did to get it

was to consume an abundance

of carrots. 

I'm embarrassed to say,



I'd rather eat chocolate 

than carrots, 

or chocolate carrots,

I'm afraid. The kindness



of humans occasionally blinds

me with tears. And for that, 

and the horror of carrots, 

I got a medal today.

to really suffer it must be brocolli. It's green. It's mean. It's obscene. But it's high in something or other. Chocolate is the devil's spawn. I know which way I was born.

On food, I dream of mashed potatoes. Think it must be a mineral deficiency. Could eat a whole saucepan full of them without masticating very much. Don't break your teeth on your flipping medal or you'll need ten carat fillings. A sweet smiling poem.

Mash spud is so comforting. I don't even want to eat my medal - never had one before - want to hang onto it for a while. smiley

Hi there, Bee. Have you tried making carrot cake?  You can't taste the carrots at all, and it might be a way of getting some more of the wee, orange devils down you without having to heave, too much, at the prospectsmiley

I LOVE carrots! Could eat them all day. Especially with cheese. Dipping a carrot into a tub of soft cheese is pure bliss. Keep eating them Bee. They're REALLY good for you...Cheese on the other hand...

Eat the chocolate medal. Take a photo of it before you do and frame that instead.

This is so cute! I love carrots but raw they are bloody hard work aren't they. I reckon dark chocolate-coated carrots would be alright x
