Saved my life

A stranger saved my life,
reversed my crash landing exit
an inch of string winding from you
stretching far enough to reach me,
everybody thought that the connection
was a premature idea born in my head.
I twisted my arms out towards you
you tied the string around my purple wrists
and moved slowly proving something,
that I was worth the wait
connected with something other than words.
You lifting my dusty arms to a slow rescue
proved another thing, that I was precious,
“Your body is heavy, with the weight of gold”
you told me, even your lips moved slowly
I tried to trace their outline with my fingertips,
before I fell back out of continuousness, I tried to speak,
but you ran your fingertips over my mouth.
Whispering “Sleep is like gold ,also, follow it
into the dark mines of its first breath."
I wanted to, but I was scared, that I would
never wake up. Scared, that that was my fault.
"Don't worry, everything will be fine."
You placed your fingertips over my hand,
you promised me using your words, so that I
would feel safe, then from the corner of my
eyes I watched you remove the string from my arm,
and I was so relieved to be bound to you.
