A bored nut

The inspiration nut
It gave me an idea
I’d write about the protons in the nuts ionosphere
I had to break the nut
I snapped away its shell
I pulled away the pieces and I broke them up as well
I put the pieces into piles
And the piles into rows
I made the rows quite even, as an even nut row goes
I pulled it up to eyeball
I threw it on the bed
The protons and the ions must be somewhere else instead
I searched for many days
For my stolen inspiration
A nut ionosphere will only do for this creation
I looked inside a dust mite
I poured out all my glue
I threw my speakers at the wall just hoping that would do
Not around the light bulb
Not in the pages of my book
I looked into the looking glass till there was nowhere else to look
I took a crowbar to the ceiling
A hammer to the wall
I dug a hole behind the sink and almost made the kitchen fall
I walked inside the outside
And inquired a gutter mouse
He said “there’s no way nut ionospheres would stay within the house”
So I made a tea with mouse hair
And sat down to catch some tears
I stared into my reflection and found the nut ionosphere!
