Crimson Skies

- 522 reads
A dozen tear-stained symphonies
That fall through the lucid air
Touch my skin with softness
And deceive me without care
The sky below is crimson
From the worlds wounded heart
The colour inside is fading
The end will beckon a start
Transfixed upon the crags I stand
As the cold engulfs the heat
And the river rages ahead as the leaves
Rustle beneath your feet
The clouds absorb the red
And the leaves forsaken the trees
Hope and life are coming to an end
We are falling to our knees
