Tomorrow I will discover and island
Hugged and held in the ocean.
I will watch the sun set through the sail
And under the boom of my boat,
Sleeping on the sun-warmed deck.
I will learn Italian,
Conversing like a local in a market
Where herb bread and red peppers and olives
Make me stop
And then walk home,
Twisted brown paper packets in my bag.
I will climb a moutain by the sea,
Lie on my back under the stars
Singing songs to the sky.
I will read books, keep a journal, paint pictures,
Sit on the sill between window boxes,
Bare feet against warm brick.
I will follow my own advice,
Tell him I love him and not worry.
I will wake up happy, I will stop thinking.
I will go and see.
