Lots of yellow today

people and vests

headlights and hazards

signs and bollards

lots of beeps too

little shunts

across the yellow grid

lights flashing amber

kids with yellow mums

waiting for the green man

young bucks won’t stop

for the red one

no news

there’s no news

but there’s a bike

going through a red

people turn and lament

their lives going by

the sun’s out

no it’s not

it’s raining.
